Guidelines & Sign-Up Application

To apply for the fellowship, participants must submit an original essay that explains how the fellowship will make a difference for them and their community, as well as a letter of professional reference. Two applicants will be chosen based on specific criteria: Applicant #1 must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the medical imaging profession, and Applicant #2 must be a new graduate from an accredited program. The RT and the student must meet the FDA MQSA guidelines and licensure requirements in their state of practice. Participants will go through AHEC's 40-hour initial training program. AHEC can provide a clinical site for the initial 25 supervised exams, but if the candidate chooses to coordinate the clinical exams, a letter of participation is required from their current employer.

As a participant in the GROW! Mammography Fellowship Program, each recipient will receive complimentary

round-trip airfare, a stay at a hotel selected by AHEC, and a daily stipend. Travel arrangements must be made no

later than 30 days prior to the event. Eligibility is also dependent upon attendance of all required events

and completion of the post-meeting survey.

By submitting an application, the participant agrees to comply with the official rules and consents to AHEC's use of their name, portrait (still and video), picture, voice, likeness and biographical information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without additional consent, approval, consideration, compensation, permission or notification.
