My decision to go into mammography was really influenced by the people around me. Two of my coworkers, who currently work in mammo, went through this program and everyone at our hospital recommended it. Seeing how much they love what they do made me want to follow the same path. One thing I’ve noticed is that people sometimes think mammography is just easy and stress-free, but it’s really not. Hearing others talk about their experiences here helped me realize I wasn’t alone in feeling that. Being part of this fellowship gives you that kind of support. I’m just happy to finally be here, learning and getting hands-on. I’ve wanted this for a while. If anyone is thinking about applying to the GROW Fellowship, I’d definitely tell them to go for it. You won’t regret it.
